EXAMPLE OF NOUNS:
A noun names a person, place, thing, or idea.
Every person, place, and thing has a name. The words doctor, store, and pencil, for example, are names. Something that-cannot be seen, heard, or touched, such as hope, also has a name. All these names are nouns.
Most nouns have a singular and a plural form. A word that refers to one is singular. A word that refers to more than one is plural. Some nouns, such as Peter Pan or New Mexico, are more than one word.
